The client relied on SAP enterprise planning software to facilitate their daily operations. In keeping with evolving technology and to ensure continued efficiencies, the client determined they would need a system’s upgrade and new integrations of their SAP software. Rather than upskill their internal resources to carry out this long-term engagement, the client found it best to pursue a staff augmentation solution for this specific SAP project.

Several factors led the client to engage TPG’s Planet Technology division to staff this critical project, including:

Having supported the client in the past in pharmaceutical and biotech staffing, the team at Planet Technology was able to seamlessly ramp up to support this SAP engagement. Working closely with the MSP Randstad Sourceright, Planet Technology was able to quickly identify, recruit, and onboard the talent to perform necessary system upgrades.
The Results
The initial integration spanned 18 months, and following the client performed a roll out of the new system to their Asia-Pacific facilities as well. Due to TPG’s close relationship with the MSP, the client elected to rely almost exclusively on Planet Technology for this engagement. This three-way partnership proved critical for the client’s procurement of SAP talent.
